meet the maker
Hey, I’m Megan
I’m a potter and designer in the South West of Western Australia, and I make pottery that anyone can have a go at.
My aim is a simple one: to make pottery accessible to everyone. Somewhere along the way I realised that working with clay is one of the most grounding, meditative things I do - there’s something about slowing down, using your hands, and making a real object that settles the mind like little else. I don’t think that should be reserved for people with a wheel, a kiln and a studio full of gear. Everyone deserves to feel it.
Clay’s been in my hands about as long as I can remember. I grew up making things out of the backyard - my mum’s garden was pure clay soil, which she despaired of as a gardener and I quietly loved. I didn’t find my way back to it properly until years later, at a slab-building class with that same mum, when something just clicked. My hands have been itching to get back into clay every day since.
So I build my pieces by hand, from slabs of clay, and turn them into printable templates - the shapes, the measurements, the step-by-step - so the guesswork is done for you. No wheel, no fancy setup. Whether you’re working at your kitchen table or in a full studio, you can make something beautiful and genuinely useful with your own hands.
I come to this from a design background too - years of working with brands, print and digital - and that designer’s eye goes into every template: clear, considered, and made to actually work. It’s where pixels meet clay.
You’ll find printable templates, free tutorials and online classes here, all built to take you from a slab of clay to something you’re proud of. I’m so glad you’re here - come make something.
