100%, with “fit to page” turned off. Every template comes in A4 and US Letter, and the pieces are scaled true to size – there’s a check square on the first page so you can measure it with a ruler before you cut anything.
Straight away. The PDFs are in your account and in your inbox the moment you check out, so you can be printing within a minute or two. If the email hasn’t landed, check your junk folder first – then message me and I’ll send it over.
For most templates, yes – they’re designed for clay that’s bisque fired and glazed, and the “How it works” steps assume you have access to a kiln (your own, a community studio or a firing service). Templates tagged Air dry friendly work just as well with air-dry clay, so you can make those at the kitchen table with no firing at all.
Any clay you can roll into a slab – stoneware, earthenware or porcelain all work. Each template page lists the suggested clay and glaze type, and whether the piece is air dry clay friendly, so start there if you want the same result as the photos. Clay shrinks as it dries and fires (usually 10-15%), so the finished piece will be a little smaller than the template.
Yes – anything you make from a template is yours to keep, gift or sell. What you can’t do is share, copy or sell the template itself, or claim the design as your own. If you post your pieces, tag me – I love seeing them.
No. The templates are made for slab building, which is the easiest way into hand building: you roll clay flat, cut round the paper pieces and join them. Every template has photo steps and a video of the full build, and the product page tells you the skill level before you buy. If you’ve never done any hand building at all, have a look at my beginner series on YouTube and Skillshare first – it covers the basics the templates build on.
A rolling pin, something to roll the slab to an even thickness (two rulers or wooden slats work), a craft knife, a needle tool or pin, a damp sponge and some slip for joining. The full list is under “Making it” on each template.
Yes – print at a different percentage and all the pieces scale together (120% for a bigger version, 80% for smaller). Just keep the slab thickness in proportion so the walls stay strong.
Log in to your account and you’ll find every template you’ve bought under Downloads, ready to grab again any time. If a link won’t open or you bought as a guest and can’t find the email, message me with your order number and I’ll sort it. Because they’re digital files, I can’t offer refunds once a template has been downloaded – but if there’s a problem with the file itself, I’ll always fix it.
