This page explains refunds for templates and patterns bought from megmakes.me. Last updated 14 October 2026.
1. Digital downloads
My templates and patterns are digital files that you can download straight after you pay. Because a download can’t be returned, I don’t offer refunds for change of mind – for example, if you no longer need a template or chose the wrong one.
2. If something’s wrong with your file
My products come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If your file:
- is faulty or won’t open,
- doesn’t match its description, or
- won’t download,
contact me and I’ll fix it, replace it or refund you.
3. Bought the same template twice?
If you accidentally buy the same template twice, let me know and I’ll refund the extra one.
4. How to ask for help
Email me at megan@megmakes.me with your order number and what’s gone wrong, ideally as soon as you notice. A screenshot helps if the file won’t open or download. I’ll usually reply within two business days.
5. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the way you paid – to your PayPal account or card for PayPal payments, or to your bank account for bank transfers. Once I’ve approved a refund it can take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank or PayPal.
6. Before you buy
To avoid surprises, please check that you can open PDF files, and print your template at 100% (actual size) so it comes out the right size. The FAQs cover printing and the other common questions.
7. Marketplace purchases
If you bought through Etsy or another marketplace, please contact me through that marketplace. Its own refund policy also applies.
8. Creative services
Refunds for design and website projects are covered by section 12 of my creative services terms and conditions.
